Overview of Reactor

This is an overview of common terms, services, and capabilities of the Reactor mulitplayer game system. This tutorial covers installation and basic usage of Reactor. It contains information on setting up, project structure, and the common keyboard commands.

Use sync groups to partition a scene into groups which can be used to control what entities are synced to a player.

Use public tags and data to share information to users before they connect to a server.

Tutorial 7 - Create a Lobby System Using Cluster Room Management

This tutorial demonstrates how to use a Reactor cluster to manage multiple room instances.

Tutorial 8 - Persistent Data using Cluster Properties, and Room to Room RPCs

This tutorial introduces cluster properties and uses them to save persistent data associated with a player. Messaging between rooms will be demonstrated using cluster RPCs. This tutorial extends [Tutorial 7](/Reactor/Tutorials/Tutorial7-ClusterRoomManagement/).

Authoritative Client Sample

This sample shows how to use RPCs and properties to sync the local player's transform and animation state from the client to all other players, and to use an entity factory to spawn a different prefab for local and remote players.

Cluster Sample

This sample creates a lobby which manages game instances. Players connect to the lobby and are sent to an available game instance. The game selects a group of winners and then spawn a new game instance for those players. Other players are sent back to the lobby.
